FEEDBACK FROM OUR CLIENTS :

"She is your perfect stylist. I am suspecting she is an empath, or at least a highly sensitive person able to detect your energies, moods, and ideas about you that you don’t realize yet. Her jewelry has this magic energy and so many meanings, and makes your days brighter - this is what I noticed ten years ago. And now, the styling work that she did on me - is something I really appreciate and cherish, it has the same transformational quality. Her insights and her funny advice inspired me to almost completely change my life, which is something very valuable. Especially right now, when a lot of things are grim and dull. Her positive attitude, realistic and not salesy approach, and no-bullshit sessions will make you a happier person. Not sure how she manages that, but it really works for me. She initiated me into wearing feminine and came up with this fun term “lockdown sexy” that improved not only my own perception of myself but also my relationship with my boyfriend. Highly recommended!” (ADELIE)

“Yurga helped to refresh my style, to make it reflect more my personality. She can make you fall in love again with anything you own, suggesting new ways of wearing it. I was quite bored with my wardrobe, and despite owning a lot of great pieces - not able to find ways to combine them. Our lengthy discussions helped me understand what I love and what I don’t. It cleared my mind. She tapped into my dreams, strengths, and flaws. She also approached me during this process in a careful, loving, and positive way. I learned a lot from her, especially how to think out of the box when making outfits - I have so many boxes in my head, so breaching the boundaries and shuffling was a hard but also extremely gratifying experience. So many great ideas, that I still need to absorb, reflect on and integrate into my wardrobe. Right now, I am extremely grateful for her guidance. It’s a gift to work with Yurga, and I hope she will continue supporting me further.” (LINA)

"I loved the process!! Thank you for giving me concrete actions to take. It helps my brain because I am not as creative and abstract as a thinker, and as a planner, I like knowing what specifically needs to be done. I've been really thinking a lot about our session, and about how I can make outfits more minimal and cool by quieting down the details. I love the idea of going with a men’s briefcase and getting a pair of cool sneakers. Those are both of me. My pants and skirts could use more neutrals, so you guessed correctly on that one. Your mood board is sitting right next to me on my desk and will be used for inspiration in the coming months. I am implementing your advice starting tonight at our holiday party. A very quiet outfit that hopefully maintains cool. Looking forward to getting more sessions when we secure funding. Thanks so much. I am totally enjoying the thought of who I could be in the future, and appreciate having an informed, outside perspective on what that could look like. I really loved how you structured the wardrobe discussion around what I want to achieve, that is a really cool perspective to take. And as mentioned before, I love my mood board! I took it home to Seattle to show off to my friends. So that is REALLY valuable to obtain.” (ANDY)

"I’ve known Yurga for almost 20 years now, professionally and personally. She is a kind human being and a brilliant stylist. Her personal style and work philosophy is a blend of European, Baltic/Nordic, and French to be precise, sophistication and elegance, and that dreamy Californian spirit. Structural and elevated, yet very feminine and subtle. Her eye for detail is superb and she has a great work ethic. Yurga has a deeply developed sense of style and that special instinctive effortless vision. Her styling is based on cultural and classical values of fashion as a whole. She is fun to be around. Her creativity and passion for what she does is very inspiring. Always reaching for the stars, a true perfectionist!” (VIRGINIA EMILY)

“She gives timeless and ahead-of-the-moment advice that is very objective and impartial. It is not always easy to follow immediately but more to grow into. Yurga pushes you to evolve. I would call her a coach that is a fashion insider and can get you to be your most elegant self. Have to add this - very patient and listening, but persistent to get one on the right track!! Working with her gives you this peace of mind about the next big sale with her mantra you have enough. And it took me away the anxiety of getting things I need now unless it’s too late feeling, too. She facilitated me to see my own style as evolving and gently guided me to shopping less and better. And when anxiety hits with this I have nothing to wear for this special trip/ wedding, she is just a phone call or whats app message away. She helped me take a new look at the things I already have and to discover that most of what I need is already in there, just not in the old, boring ways of wearing patterns I was used to looking at them, but with a modern/ timeless twist. She gave practical suggestions and tips that were super simple to implement and to start wearing the clothes in a new way. Sure, it’s exciting to build/ buy your way to a new wardrobe but it’s also great to see the classics you have in a new light and give them a new chance. I am not a fashion-oriented person, but I want my clothes to look effortlessly great without me making any effort. It’s a tall order, especially taking into account that I am also very stubborn and independent-minded, so for some advice to really sink in time is needed. Sometimes I am only able to appreciate her forward-looking advice and understand it to the full extent after a year or more. Mea culpa, but despite this she remains amazingly positive, encouraging, and patient. She is gently guiding me to find my own way through the jungle of fashion to the ultimate nirvana of elegance. I believe we will get there together!” (SIMONA)

“When I started the 4-week yoga style transformation with Yurga, I expected it to be fun and interesting. I did not expect it to push me toward true transformation. Yurga challenged me to think beyond my wardrobe, to think about who I am and how I want to show up in the world. I was stretched beyond my comfort zone, but Yurga was with me every step of the way, gently guiding me with patience and care. I came out of the program with a stunning wardrobe that supports where I am now and tools to help me grow toward where I aspire to be. The process was beautiful and turbulent and so, so satisfying. I cannot recommend it highly enough.”(FELICIA)

YURGA: “love this quote from Ann Demeulemeester (on the left). Meeting people naked would ruin the magic that leads to the electricity of undressing, feeling powerful and desired. So, let’s discuss proper attire for work, seduction, or scrubbing bathroom floors.”

Vogue, 1997 // Donna Karan emphasizes importance of intimate relationship with your clothes: “I think we all have enough clothes now. If somebody said ‘You can’t buy anymore’, well, I have enough in my closet to get by for the next ten years! So what’s new has to be desirable in a sensual way. I think women have a unique understanding of the intimacy of clothes touching your body.” Photo by Annie Leibovitz.

YURGA: “Donna Karan was right talking overconsumption in 1997 - so true, we do have enough of everything. If you acquire anything new, it has to spark joy (hi, Kondo!), because what’s the point then looking at yourself in the mirror? Remember, it’s all about your relationship with self. No one else will ever make you happier.”

Vogue, 1997 // Muccia Prada surprises you by saying she dresses to please men: “I am inspired by men because I dress more to please men, no? Some moments, I’m interested in sensuality and romance, and some moments, I/m interested in the aspect of masculinity in all of us.” Photographed by Annie Leibovitz.

YURGA: “would have never thought Muccia’s outfits meant to seduce. I really like this unexpected strategy. Personally, I dress for myself. But when I catch this jolly spark full of desire in the eye of the other, I feel so good. My feminine part is satisfied, my masculine part is owned, & the magic is happening. Even when you dress to be invisible, the right person will appreciate it. Just learn how to play with details.”

HOW IT WORKS // PROCESSES >

  • PREPARATION FOR YOUR SESSION

For video-calls - wardrobe update or video consultations, we use FaceTime, What’s Up, and Zoom, let us know what you prefer. Then, choose the most convenient time for your from our calendar. Get ready to be asked a lot of questions that Yurga always asks her clients to drive them crazy, but to achieve the best results. Prepare to show us your closet, and get some homework done.

  • METHODS WE USE

Yurga likes to read between the lines to figure out the client’s personality, goals, lifestyle, what excites them, and she makes an effort to adapt your “treasures” to those reference points. Simplicity is the leitmotif, but she is also about joy and fun in every moment of your life. It just has to be practical and easy in a very nonchalant way, also fun & light, as well - complicate in a compact intellectual way. In other words, we are masters of juxtaposition. AND, here we believe in magic - minimalism, essentialism, spark-the-joy - you name it, we are into it, just adding a little bit of introspection based on Jungian analysis.

  • BEFORE THE SESSION YOU SHOULD

Think about what’s bothering you. Why do you want to do this? What stuff is making you feel heavy? Why don’t you wear it? Why / how did you get it? What do you want to look like? Who / what makes you excited and why? Just dive into the world of your dreams. That’s where the truth lies. Draw us your imaginary persona.

  • YOUR FEMININE JOURNEY

Life is a series of spontaneous changes, don’t resist them. Let things flow. “Happily ever after” is a concept of your happiness with yourself. Every day and every minute. “Holding onto something good for you now, maybe the very reason why you don’t have something better”, not sure who said it, but it’s time to change. We will make it happen.
